Spring Field Trip and Fall Study Tour
These events were not held in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but each year IJLP students go on a day trip in the spring and a two-day, one-night study tour in the autumn. There are many things to do on these trips, including visiting a World Heritage site and making soba noodles. Events such as lunchtime barbeques also help students relax and get to know each other. For classes on learning about Japanese aff airs, students leave the IJLP facilities and go to museums to learn about the Edo Period, etc.
Representatives from each class give speeches on various topics to demonstrate their developing Japanese skills. This is the crowning event for the year, with a grand prize winner, awards of excellence, a best eff ort award and a judges’ award.
